The facades will compose a wave, to recall the effect of the sea.
The Vibo Valentia-Pizzo project idea is identified in the desire to mend the various parts of an overall language. Create an intervention capable of identifying with the place and becoming its continuity. An Urban and Architectural Diaphragm of which the project becomes sensitively and “mirror”, especially on its surface, “epidermis identifying itself and expressing itself through the engraved signs of the facade coverings.
Building and Square
The architectural project is formulated through the development of some key points on which the design of the external spaces is based, first of which is that of providing the Travelers Building with a large external area to accommodate pedestrian flows: the vegetal screens (trees) are an integral part of the project as are the waiting and parking benches. This public space, in front of the station building, is intended to be a place at the service of the end user of the station and an area of the “threshold” limit between the external space and the internal.
Street and Interior Design
The street furniture is thought of as integrated and in line with the language used for the interior design project of the PV spaces of the Vibo Pizzo station. The distinctive elements are the permeability of the general space of the square, the use of the flooring, with a chromatic change to indicate the passages and routes and visual connections between the inside PV and the project square.
