EDUCATION IN NATURE
LAKE OF GARDA
Like open fingers suspended on the ground, it opens up to the landscape.
The entire building is conceived as the composition of three linear buildings which, like fingers of an open hand, open onto the surrounding area, welcoming it; or even as perspective telescopes, which allow you to frame the surrounding nature. Their slight inclination is in fact determined by the objective of relating the school and therefore its views to the territory.
Connecting Space
The three linear buildings, which house the normal and special classrooms, are in turn connected by a connecting space which is the heart of the project. It is from this heart that the school is accessed and that the classrooms and services are distributed: it is the symbolic center of the school, the place where one can stop and where the pupils can freely meet, play and read.
Landscape
The area in which the school is located has a significant landscape value. Starting from the fact that it barely seems to rest on the ground and is a place from which to enjoy the surrounding area through the views all around along the four cardinal directions and, in particular, through the prediction of some perspective telescopes and panoramic terraces. Those who stay in the school are led to learn and appreciate the surrounding nature.
